التقى وفد منتدى الإعلاميات العراقيات، برئاسة الدكتورة نبراس المعموري، بممثلتين عن البعثة الدبلوماسية البريطانية في بغداد، المختصتين بالشؤون السياسية والإعلامية.
وخلال اللقاء، ناقش الجانبان واقع المرأة الإعلامية في العراق، والتحديات التي تواجهها، وإمكانية في أن تكون شريكًا فاعلًا ومؤثرًا في الموسم الانتخابي المقبل. كما استعرض الوفد أبرز الأنشطة التي نظمها المنتدى، وخاصة الحملات الإعلامية التي تسهم في تعبئة الرأي العام وتعزيز مشاركة المرأة في العملية السياسية.
واتفق الطرفان على سبل التعاون المشترك، لا سيما في مجال الإعلام الرقمي، بما يسهم في تطوير حضور المرأة الإعلامية ودورها في المشهد الإعلامي العراقي.
وضم الوفد الزائر كلًا من: الدكتورة إسراء الجوراني، والأستاذة جنان صليوة، والسيدة أصيل العلي، إلى جانب رئيسة المنتدى الدكتورة نبراس المعموري.
Iraqi Women’s journalist’s Forum and the British Embassy Discuss the Status of Women in Media and the Challenges They Face
A delegation from the IWJF, led by Dr. Nibras Al-Maamouri, met with two representatives from the British diplomatic mission in Baghdad, specializing in political and media affairs.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the status of women in media in Iraq, the challenges they face, and their potential to be active and influential partners in the upcoming electoral season. The delegation also highlighted key activities organized by the IWJF, particularly media campaigns aimed at mobilizing public opinion and enhancing women’s participation in the political process.
The two parties agreed on ways to collaborate, especially in the field of digital media, to help strengthen the presence and role of women in the Iraqi media landscape.
The visiting delegation included Dr. Esraa Al-Jourani, Ms. Jinan Sliwa, and Ms. Aseel Al-Ali, in addition to the forum’s president, Dr. Nibras Al-Maamouri.
